SPONSORED BIKE RIDE FROM LONDON TO NEWCASTLE 

Ridge View is an all age community special school for children with Profound, Severe and Complex learning difficulties. The school is raising funds to support their relocation to provide the children with modern and up to date facilities.

Our employees Dina, Maggie, Mary, Stacey and Zoe helped Demelza celebrate by taking part in the sponsored walk around Greenwich Park. The walk began at Devonport House and took the participants around the whole park, which enabled us to enjoy the beautiful views of the River Themes and City of London. Very young children as well as dogs took part in the event. When the walk had finished we were all greeted by red and white spotty tents and balloons, lots of food, freshly made lemonade by the children and a raffle.

The event was enjoyed by all.

We would like to thank Lawrence for his hard work and his enthusiasm whilst he was here and wish him well in his final year at school and his future endeavours.

Lawrence said ‘The work experience was really beneficial to me in terms of giving me an experience on how offices operate. It was also very fun. Definitely the best work experience I’ve taken part in!!’

In addition, we helped students at Eltham Hill School secure placements with 3 of our clients and Charlton Athletic Community Trust. A total of 9 work experience placements were achieved through us, which we are thrilled with.

We hosted a football tournament at Sparrows Lane, competed with our Christmas Jumpers, created a Penny Trail or should we say Pound Trail all around our office, played Guess The Employee from the Baby Photo, had a Fine Box for those of us who went home without turning their computer screen off and held a Charity Gig at Stansfield Oxford & Bermondsy Club.

Maggie Robins, HR Director, said: “We are in awe of the commitment by the people at the Trust, who consistently work on the day to day running of the Upbeats programme. We very much enjoy the opportunities we have to be part of some of the Upbeats events. We hope our efforts will contribute to maintaining and expanding the activities for the group and we will now concentrate on the next 12 months activities.”
