Our Continued Partnership with Street Trees for Living and Our Commitment to The School Trees Project

July 22, 2020 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

We are proud to announce our continued partnership with Street Trees for Living and our commitment to The School Trees Project. With 55% of the world’s population living in urban areas, working to protect green spaces, nature and trees in our towns and cities has never been more important. The School Trees Project aims to plant 200 street trees outside twenty primary schools in the winters of 2020/21 and 2021/22. Urban trees look after us by:
·        reducing toxic air mortality
·        improving mental health
·        reducing traffic
·        encouraging walking to school
·        creating a healthier and safer place for children

This year, we have planted 6 Hornbeam trees on Aldworth Grove and 4 on Hibiscus trees in Crofton Park, and they are thriving!

“It is clear that sustainability is at the heart of what you do at Regular Cleaning. It’s wonderful to see you support our passion for trees and the protection of the environment. Thank you for your ingenuity and commitment to empower others in the local community. We so appreciate your ongoing support and are very pleased with how well your trees are doing. Street Trees for Living are extremely grateful for this blossoming partnership and we are very much looking forward to working with Regular Cleaning and planting many more trees together in Lewisham over the coming years. Thank you!” – Xanthe Mosley, Chair of Trustees

Donating our weekly office fruit deliveries to frontline NHS Staff

May 7, 2020 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

As most of our head office team are able to work from home, we have suspended our deliveries of fresh fruit and have worked with Fruitful Office to donate our regular office fruit orders to our wonderful frontline NHS staff, who are working tirelessly to keep us all safe at this challenging time.

These extraordinary people of the community are serving on the frontline under extreme pressure to save lives. While the majority of the population are confined to their homes, these heroes are forsaking their own health and wellbeing, and putting others first.

As a socially responsible family business, we are incredibly proud to be a part of this scheme which provides NHS staff with the opportunity to eat healthily during their long hours at work, and to take fruit home to their families.

Take a look at the positive impact the scheme is having so far:

Week 1: Over 23,000 fruit portions were delivered to 11 NHS hospitals

Week 2:Over 36,000 fruit portions were delivered to 18 NHS hospitals

Week 3: Over 39,000 fruit portions were delivered to 18 NHS hospitals

Week 4: Over 40,000 fruit portions were delivered to 18 NHS hospitals

“This is to thank you for the fruit box we received today as part of the donation from your clients. We appreciate your effort to support each other during this pandemic. We hope you and your loved ones are well and health.” – East London Foundation NHS

“Thank you so much for persevering and donating to GSTT at this difficult time. The wellbeing team are ecstatic with the fruit and it will be put to good use.” Guy’s and St Thomas’ Hospital

“Firstly, I’d like to say a massive thank you for the fruit, it went a long way to boosting morale and spirits at these hard times. All of your support is hugely appreciated, thanks again.” – St George’s University Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

How we can help our clients to recover from the COVID-19 Pandemic

April 27, 2020 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

The impact of this pandemic will no doubt leave a lasting legacy of an increased focus on both personal hygiene and the cleanliness of workplaces and public spaces. We at Regular Cleaning are here to help and support you through the recovery stage and into the future. When it comes to cleaning regimes, proactivity is essential to help prevent the spread of disease and also to provide confidence to returning colleagues, visitors and the general public; reassuring them they are entering a space which is safe and will continue to be so.

Protecting the health, safety and wellbeing of our clients, colleagues, and service partners is our number one priority. We will be focusing on the following to ensure that everyone can return to “normality” with confidence:

Deep Cleaning, Sanitisation and Fogging – Whilst buildings and office spaces are largely unoccupied, this provides an ideal opportunity to carry out a thorough deep clean of your property prior to reoccupation.

Supply of Products – including PPE and Signage, Hand Soaps and Sanitisers, Wall Mounted or Freestanding Dispensers, Air Sterile Infection Control Units and Protective Door Handle Covers.

Enhanced Cleaning Services – We will review your daily cleaning regime to ensure that the specification is fit for purpose and property specific. Our recommendations include:

> Enhanced touchpoint cleaning and infection control

> Increased daytime cleaning to deal with the peak ‘contamination time’, offering people the reassurance that they are using a safe environment

> Reviewing task cards, instructions and enhancing training provision for our frontline cleaning colleagues

> Reviewing scheduling of Deep Cleaning, Window Cleaning, Hygiene Services and Pest Control to take place outside of core hours, assisting the implementation of social distancing measures

If you would like to find out more about how we can support you throughout this period and into the future, please don’t hesitate to contact us via enquiries@regularcleaning.com.

We’re here to help you and work with you to ensure the successful return to clean and safe properties.

Regular Cleaning – Responding to the COVID-19 Pandemic

April 20, 2020 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

The current COVID-19 Coronavirus outbreak has presented many businesses with challenges, none more so than the cleaning sector. We are playing a key role in reducing the risk to human health and additional spread of COVID-19 by providing and maintaining clean, sanitised and safe premises and environments.

At Regular Cleaning, we have taken immediate action to ensure that at the end of this period of restricted working, we are in a strong position to support our clients and continue to invest in the future of our colleagues and the community we serve.

At all stages our approach is aligned to the government’s advice and we always prioritise the wellbeing of our colleagues in our decision making. We have a strong, established business, giving our clients the confidence that we can continue to operate reliably and dynamically under the most testing of circumstances.

As a business, we remain fully operational with our field based colleagues continuing to work to provide services to meet with our client’s requirements. The health and wellbeing of our colleagues is of paramount importance to us and therefore they are being provided with the necessary training, guidance, PPE and support to be able to carry out their roles safely and effectively. In addition, all colleagues continue to have access to Regular Rewards including 24/7 counselling, wellbeing advice for mind, body and finance and discounts for hundreds of retailers including supermarkets.

As most of our head office team are able to work from home, we have suspended our deliveries of fresh fruit and have worked with Fruitful Office to donate our regular office fruit orders to our wonderful frontline NHS staff.

Our intention is to be in a position to carry on with all the initiatives we had planned for this year including:

> Extending the work of our sustainability team; working with our clients on a collaborative approach to further reduce the impact our services have on the environment.

> Building on our work with our partners at St Mungo’s homeless charity to provide training and employment.

> Increasing our work in understanding mental health issues and supporting people within our company and the wider community. This includes continuing to develop our mental health awareness training, increasing our number of Mental Health First Aiders, and collaborating with our clients on wellbeing projects.

We are hopeful that by taking the measures we have outlined above we will be in a strong position to offer all our current and future clients what you are looking for in a future service partner.

We are a socially responsible family cleaning business. For the past 50 years, we have been making work places better places, through the delivery of customer focused services. Our priorities during these challenging times are to continue to be there to support both our clients and our colleagues in any way we can. Likewise, we thank you for your support and look forward to continuing our successful working relationships and building new relationships, as we overcome the challenges we are currently faced with together.

If there is anyway that we can support you in providing and maintaining clean, safe and sanitised workplaces and environments please do not hesitate to contact us at enquiries@regularcleaning.com. We’re here to help.

Congratulations and THANK YOU Hugo!

January 31, 2020 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

A huge congratulations and THANK YOU to Hugo Burgos, our Health and Safety Advisor, for 10 Years Long Service with us at Regular Cleaning. We know you have worked hard for this accomplishment and we truly appreciate your diligence and dedication.

“I moved to the UK from Bolivia in 2002. I started at Regular Cleaning in 2009 as a Cleaning Operative. I felt welcomed into the company and valued as an employee. My English skills were very little at that stage, which meant this was a great deal for me. I was determined to make an impression and show my ability.

My strong attention to detail and trustworthiness meant that I was quickly recognised as a hard worker. I felt quit shy and reserved due to the language barrier, however my English quickly improved through talking to colleagues and clients. During this time I built a strong working relationship with the Contract Manager George Wakeling. I became confident at my role and soon felt the need to move forward and progress into a more senior position. I took the initiative and asked George for regular updates on vacancies and trainings available.

After one year at Regular Cleaning, I applied for a Mobile Supervisor role and got all the support needed from George. My proactive approach and willingness to learn meant that I was the right candidate and was offered the post. The main challenge in this new role was to successfully supervise a team with multi-cultural differences and to learn about management processes. Regular Cleaning provided me with Management training. I became even more confident and took the opportunity for a secondment as a Contract Manager which enabled me to communicate and network with clients on a regular basis, and demonstrate my newly acquired management skills.

I always remained very expressive and open about my wish to develop even more. Regular Cleaning rewarded me for my enthusiasm and encouraged me to apply for the Health and Safety Advisor post in Head Office. I was slightly hesitant at first but decided to give it a chance. I applied and was given the job! This became a new challenge; I knew I would have lots of learning to do. It has now been 6 years that I am a Health and Safety Advisor with Regular Cleaning. My new line Director, Gary Williamson; gave me all the training and assistance needed. I was always encouraged and successfully passed a level 3 NVQ in Occupational Health and Safety alongside a few other courses. I am still gaining experience on auditing and making my way towards further qualifications.

Today, I am celebrating my 10 years anniversary working for Regular Cleaning. When reflecting back, my first thought is: This has been one “wow” of a ride! There have been highs and lows and many challenges along the way, but they all contributed to take me where I am now; which is a place where I am satisfied with my job and where I see a career for myself. I want to take this opportunity to thank anyone at Regular Cleaning that have contributed to my progress and encouraged me throughout the years. Thank you all for believing in me! Also, a special thanks to George Wakeling and Gary Williamson; whom have given me the extra push I needed and whose sense of humour made any hard time worthwhile! Already 10 years with Regular Cleaning! No regrets, only hopes.” – Hugo Burgos

Thank Your Cleaner Day – Karcher Makes A Difference Award 2019 Winners!

October 16, 2019 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

Regular Cleaning are proud to once again celebrate Thank Your Cleaner Day 2019.

Thank Your Cleaner Day is a global initiative for businesses all over the world to recognise the hard work of cleaners and to let them know they are valued and appreciated. Hundreds of our cleaners work day, night and weekends to keep our working and living environments clean, safe and hygienic – yet are often undervalued.

Congratulations to the team of champions at The Pavilions in Uxbridge who have been recognised for their hard work with the Karcher Makes A Difference Award. The team have gone above and beyond to not only complete their duties but to assist anyone who needs it.

The Pavilion’s Centre Manager, Aaron Bayliss, was the individual to nominate the team for their commitment and determination.

“I am overjoyed. When I received the call it was a complete surprise. I couldn’t be happier they won, because they really do deserve it. It is great for the team to receive this recognition and celebrate in their own way.

When Regular Cleaning first told me about the Thank Your Cleaner Day I thought it was a brilliant idea and was so glad to be involved. We have many competitions that we like to enter the teams at the Pavilions for, however, sadly, cleaning is never an option and it’s rather disappointing because they play such a key part in everyone’s business.

I want the team to celebrate their efforts as they are the best cleaning team I have ever experienced. They deserved to win the overall award and I look forward to seeing them celebrate together.

Working with Regular Cleaning has been a great benefit; everything is always running smoothly with every aspect in the company. Each member of the Pavilions team are so different and always give their own personal touch when working together or helping others.” – Aaron

We spoke to Eugenio Marques, the Site Supervisor and Diana Comaneci, the Site Manager, from the winning team about how they felt about achieving the award.

Eugenio had just come back from holiday so everything to him was a fantastic surprise and he was extremely happy to be recognised for their hard work and dedication to their services. Eugenio always strives to be the best he can be and is grateful that this doesn’t get taken for granted. He really enjoys working with his team, as they are all so different, and they all support each other to the best of their abilities. They will always be there for each other to give motivation and support when needed.

“It’s so nice to get such praise: it makes you feel like you and your jobs are very important.” – Eugenio

Eugenio was very excited to win the £1000 prize and for everyone to see what a great team they are.

“Working for Regular Cleaning has always shown that no one is more important than the next and they will always try and help the best they can with training and support, so we can gain the knowledge we need.” – Eugenio

Diana loves coming to work, she never gets up in the morning dreading for the time to come when she has to start, because every day is different.

“When we were told about winning the overall prize, it was so overwhelming because nobody was expecting it at all. To win the £1000 in red letter day activities means it would be a great opportunity for all the team to spend the time together.

I have been working with the majority of my team for roughly 5 years. They are loyal, amazing team players, with never any fuss, and we have built huge trust over the years – I am so lucky to have them. I enjoy working with everyone and couldn’t be happier with all their dedication and hard work. I like that it is not only myself but my team that are always made to feel appreciated. They get the recognition they deserve from not only Regular Cleaning, but also the management at The Pavilions. A thank you will always make a big difference to somebody’s day.

Regular Cleaning are one of the best companies I have worked for, and no manager or director is ever too busy to help us with our issues. I am lucky to be part of such a loyal company.

The smallest of things can make the biggest difference.” – Diana

On behalf of all the staff at Regular Cleaning, we would like to thank all our amazing cleaners for the hard work they do for us and our clients – and a huge congratulations to the team at The Pavilions; we know you will all continue to make a difference. Thank you!
