RCS Support Demelza Business Awards

April 22, 2013 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

The awards took place on Friday 19th April 2013 and as always, it is humbling to hear of the work that Demelza does for disabled and terminally ill children and their families.

As Demelza are one of RCS’ chosen charities, RCS are taking part in the Demelza grow £50 challenge where businesses are given £50 and have got 6 months to grow that £50 to raise funds for Demelza.

RCS will be holding a competition with all their employees to see who can come up with the most innovative idea to grow that £50. More details to follow.

Graduate Management Trainee Scheme Launches

April 18, 2013 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

They follow the key responsibilities of each department relating to the effective delivery of cleaning, window cleaning and associated services in order to understand the personnel issues, operational responsibilities, quality control, environmental objectives, financial processes and business development.

This enables the graduate to gain a complete understanding of how each process has an effect on all departments and the profitability of our business. They will then be tasked with presenting a report detailing areas where we can make improvements – allowing for innovation and growth within our business.

We are delighted and excited to welcome Ben Swinbourne as our first recruit via the scheme.

Ben has been working with RCS since February 2013 and said: “Since becoming part of the team at Regular Cleaning Services, the tailored training programme has helped develop my industry skills and business knowledge, whilst spending time in all departments. The diverse range of projects and fantastic support from everyone has allowed me to settle in to the company really well and I am proud to be part of the first ever Graduate Management Scheme at RCS.”

Ability Counts Fundraiser

April 8, 2013 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

This all culminated in a boot sale bright and early on Sunday 7th April 2013 at which we raised a whopping £398.96, taking us to a grand total of £1033.52 raised for Ability Counts.

RCS are thrilled to have beat their target and to have helped ensure the continuation of the Ability Counts programme. RCS would like to say a huge thank you to Lynn, Penny, Terry Drury, Stacey, Dina and George along with other staff members, their family and friends and to CACT for their donations – 3 cars and a van full of donated treasures to sell is a testament to their level of support and we are reliably informed that ours was in fact the busiest stall!

If you would like to join our team, check out our current vacancies.

Special thanks to Stacey, Dina, Pauline, Terry, Maggie and Gemma from RCS and to Barry and Carl from CACT for coming to help. Also to Frank who was kind enough to donate some of his takings from his rival stall!

It is a privilege to work alongside CACT and RCS very much look forward to their future fundraising endeavours.

Ability Counts is a multi-sport programme for disabled people from 8-Adult which underpins the Ability Football team. The disabilities of those who attend the programme include: Learning Difficulties, Visual impairment, Cerebral Palsy as well as physical disabilities.

All remaining items were donated to Demelza (RCS’s other chosen charity) to sell in their charity shop in order to raise funds for their children’s hospices.

April 2, 2013 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

Edging ever closer to raising our target figure of £1,000 for the program, RCS are excited to be taking part in a car boot sale at Hewitt’s Farm on 7th April.

With £370 needed to hit our target, RCS have been encouraging a spring clean to unearth any unwanted goodies and our staff have responded magnificently.

Carl Krauhaus, CACT’s Disability and Mental Health Officer at the Trust, said: “RCS have, and continue to be, a fantastic Patron of the Disability and Mental Health strand and are always thinking of different ways to demonstrate their commitment.”

RCS are delighted that CACT have also been busy collecting items for the boot sale and look forward to our latest fundraising exploits alongside them bright and early on Sunday morning!

So come on down to Hewitt’s Farm in Orpington this Sunday for a boot sale bonanza and you may just find a hidden treasure…

RCS HELP CELEBRATE CACT’S ‘DISABILITY AWARENESS DAY’

RCS are hugely privileged to be patrons of the programme and are delighted to see the progress of the initiative being recognised on such a great occasion.

CACT have worked with more than 900 young people and adults through a variety of disability focused initiatives, including the renowned Charlton Upbeats Downs Syndrome Project.

Paralympian Andy Barrow, having represented Great Britain at the London 2012 Olympics in wheelchair rugby, was introduced to the supporters as a CACT Ambassador for its disability and mental health programme, with his new role including the mentoring of young people engaged in the programme.

CACT’s work has such a positive impact in the community and RCS are thrilled to see the latest developments which we hope will be hugely beneficial to all those involved.

RCS take great pride in supporting the disability and mental health program and have been busying ourselves with a variety of fundraising enterprises. Intent on raising the £370 necessary to hit our £1000 target, RCS are holding a boot sale on 7th April to raise the money that will help to sustain the Ability Counts program.
