This all culminated in a boot sale bright and early on Sunday 7th April 2013 at which we raised a whopping £398.96, taking us to a grand total of £1033.52 raised for Ability Counts.
RCS are thrilled to have beat their target and to have helped ensure the continuation of the Ability Counts programme. RCS would like to say a huge thank you to Lynn, Penny, Terry Drury, Stacey, Dina and George along with other staff members, their family and friends and to CACT for their donations – 3 cars and a van full of donated treasures to sell is a testament to their level of support and we are reliably informed that ours was in fact the busiest stall!
If you would like to join our team, check out our current vacancies.
Special thanks to Stacey, Dina, Pauline, Terry, Maggie and Gemma from RCS and to Barry and Carl from CACT for coming to help. Also to Frank who was kind enough to donate some of his takings from his rival stall!
It is a privilege to work alongside CACT and RCS very much look forward to their future fundraising endeavours.
Ability Counts is a multi-sport programme for disabled people from 8-Adult which underpins the Ability Football team. The disabilities of those who attend the programme include: Learning Difficulties, Visual impairment, Cerebral Palsy as well as physical disabilities.
All remaining items were donated to Demelza (RCS’s other chosen charity) to sell in their charity shop in order to raise funds for their children’s hospices.
