Graduate Management Trainee Scheme Launches

April 18, 2012 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

They follow the key responsibilities of each department relating to the effective delivery of cleaning, window cleaning and associated services in order to understand the personnel issues, operational responsibilities, quality control, environmental objectives, financial processes and business development.

This enables the graduate to gain a complete understanding of how each process has an effect on all departments and the profitability of our business. They will then be tasked with presenting a report detailing areas where we can make improvements – allowing for innovation and growth within our business.

We are delighted and excited to welcome Ben Swinbourne as our first recruit via the scheme.

Ben has been working with RCS since February 2013 and said: “Since becoming part of the team at Regular Cleaning Services, the tailored training programme has helped develop my industry skills and business knowledge, whilst spending time in all departments. The diverse range of projects and fantastic support from everyone has allowed me to settle in to the company really well and I am proud to be part of the first ever Graduate Management Scheme at RCS.”

RCS Pick Up Outstanding SME Supporter Award

March 22, 2012 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

Held to recognise the commitment of the companies that regularly support the important work of Demelza; the awards were presented by ITV’s ‘News at 10’ presenter Julie Etchingham and RCS received the ‘Most supportive Small and Medium Enterprise of the Year’ award.

Gemma Taylor, RCS’s HR Manager who collected the award along with her colleague Dina Rajapakse said: “We were delighted to receive the ‘Most Supportive SME’ award, which we believe is for all of the RCS staff for their ongoing support and commitment of the work of Demelza.

“On the night an ITV cameraman spoke of his personal experience of Demelza’s services for his 3 year old daughter who sadly died 3 years ago. A heartbreaking story but what was so evident was the amount of joy and support that everyone at Demelza gives to families.

“This simply wouldn’t be possible without the donations that they receive and the fundraising programmes that they put in place.

“We are pleased to be able to support the work of such an inspiring charity.”

New Language Learning Initiative

December 1, 2011 by erjjio_support Leave a Comment

RCS have committed funding and sent out an open invitation to all staff offering them the opportunity to take advantage of free lessons. Staff will attend Head Office once per week over a 5 week programme to receive custom designed English Speaking lessons from the Charity’s tutors. These lessons will focus on situations that employees may experience whilst at work.

The course is part of RCS’s commitment to its staff, and the aim of the classes is to help our non-native English speakers acclimatise to the society and culture they are living and working in.

Speaking at the launch of the RCS ESOL initiative, RCS Managing Director David Sambrook said: “The RCS English Speaking course is designed to help improve an individual’s linguistic skills within their particular workplace, helping them to feel more confident in dealing with situations and improving their communication with their colleagues and with clients.

We’re extremely excited about this initiative and we look forward to rolling it out to more RCS staff in the future.”
