We’re supporting the St Mungo’s Digital Inclusion Programme.
St Mungo’s provide support to those experiencing or at risk of homelessness on many levels. This includes wellbeing support, accommodation, and employability support, as well as training to enhance professional and personal skills. The St Mungo’s Digital Inclusion Workshops are training classes offered to clients of the service which can develop their digital skills and improve their digital confidence.
These workshops cover several topics, including online safety & etiquette, email communication, computer basics, googles docs & other digital development skills. These workshops related to digital skills and IT, giving some of our teams a space to share their professional knowledge.
Workshops
Members of our Commercial Team and Marketing Team recently ran two workshops on IT skills and Social Media. This gave our colleagues the opportunity to share their expertise with those looking to learn or improve their digital skills.
Taking place at a St Mungo’s Community Hub, the Social Media Workshop covered the intricacies of different social media platforms, including Facebook, Instagram, LInkedin and Tik Tok. Over two hours, our colleagues went through everything from creating a profile and navigating it, to how to get the most out of social media and use it professionally. This had a brilliant turn out with St Mungo’s clients joining in person and online. Members of our Commercial Team also recently ran a workshop on IT skills. This covered a range of topics related to the basics of using a computer, using the internet, and sending files.
We’re so proud that our partnership lets us share our knowledge and expertise with the clients of the service. Our first Digital Inclusion Workshop was run by members of our Marketing and People teams last year. This was an Email Workshop, and a brilliant introduction to this initiative. We’re thrilled that these classes let us go past fundraising and volunteering to offer practical help to the homelessness charity.
Looking to the future of our partnership, we hope to continue running these in collaboration with the St Mungo’s Digital Inclusion Workshop programme.
